Triose Bios – Frank

An upstate New York native, Frank Lisco has played in bands since the age of 15. Originally a guitarist for over 12 years, he recently picked up the bass full time after some years of dabbling to answer the "call of duty" that Triose beckoned. When Frank Picked up the bass full time, Triose was truly born, and could continue forward with leaps and bounds since it was obvious that there was need for no one else. Frank's guitar abilities have not only transferred over to the bass with ease, his guitar-minded thoughts and ideas have transferred as well, creating a monster sound filled with thick groove and jazzy runs and fills that could only be conceived by someone who spent so much time shredding guitar solos! He is heavily influenced by the likes of Jaco Pastrorius, Wayne Krantz Trio, Victor Wooten and many others. Frank continues to work hard at his craft to serve the world some groove.

Frank has studied with and/or taken private lessons from: Dennis Repino at SUNY Fredonia (classical guitar), renowned Portland, OR guitarist and music professor at Lewis and Clark College of Arts and Sciences — Dan Balmer (who inspired Frank to further explore the jazz world), and accomplished Ithaca guitarist Nick Bullock (jazz guitar).
